“How well do your touch screens work with Linux?” is a question we get very often. While the short answer is always “perfectly!” there is more than one way to support and align our touch screens with Linux operating systems, and which to choose often depends on the particular circumstances of a given application. In this article we will provide a high level overview of some of the more common methods for supporting Linux.
We are pleased to announce the availability of our combined Conduit/Compression Gland Cable Exit Plate. This new option provides our rugged, fully-sealed conduit option (generally used between our Universal Mount Display and an enclosure or pedestal) with the flexibility of our Compression Gland for connecting nearby peripherals like a barcode scanner or mouse.
While most of our customers know us as an industrial monitor and touch screen company, we are also a proud manufacturer of a full line of industrial keyboards. All of our rugged keyboards carry our standard 4-year warranty and are rated to NEMA 4/4X standards.
In response to customer requests, Hope Industrial is now offering DC versions of our 19″ and 23″ industrial monitors and touch screens. All DC units include a pluggable industrial terminal block and an input range of 9.6 to 36.6 VDC. DC units include an AC-to-DC power supply provided for bench testing. These models are ideal for telecommunications, utilities and transportation applications.
Hope Industrial Systems’ new shorter distance KVM Extender delivers clear, high-resolution VGA video and USB signals up to 75 m (246 ft.) away from the computer or server. Any USB 1.1 device, including touch screens, mice, and keyboards, can be used.
